Wedding ceilidhs
Not only is a ceilidh dance great fun at a wedding, it is probably the best way of mixing the bride and groom's families and friends together, regardlesss of age.
Our expert 'caller' will encourage the guests onto the floor, add a bit of humour, and clearly talk everyone through the dances throughout the evening - allowing all to participate. |
"A wedding is just not the same without a ceilidh, somehow!"
Dancing usually follows the meal and speeches. Typically allow an hour for the speeches and time for the meal to go down before the dancing. Bear in mind also that we need upto one hour to set up and sound check our PA equipment.
Unless we are setting up before people arrive, please ensure access to the stage (we're used to setting up quietly in the background).
A raised stage area of around 4 x 5 metres is ideal, though not essential.
With our combination of professionalism, musicianship and experience, the bride and groom can relax and enjoy their evening, relying on us to make their wedding ceilidh a success.
See a video of a HiJinx wedding ceilidh in action on the music clips page.
